Fairtrasa works with over 200 small organic coconut farmers on the Pacific Coast. Through Fairtrasa, the farmers have been able to tap into the international economy by exporting their fresh coconuts, coconut water and dried coconuts. Even as tourism developments harm the fragile coastal ecosystem, our small organic farms prove that economic growth and environmental preservation can go hand in hand.
