Soluna was Argentina's first fairtrade wine produced and offered on international markets. We are proud to present our organic and fairtrade red wines, made from Malbec, Argentina's most traditional grape. In 2008, Soluna was awarded as the world's best fairtrade wine! Fairtrasa partnered with one of Argentina's earliest wine families to craft Soluna at their boutique winery in the heart of Mendoza, Argentina. The area has had a strong wine heritage since Italian immigrant families began to arrive in the 1800s. But since the economic crisis of 2001 the smallest growers have been squeezed out by large commercial operations and foreign investments. Soluna is made exclusively from grapes purchased from Viñasol, an association of small, family-owned vineyards.
